THE UNEXPECTED STORY - CAS TALK - AI and Text: Are we witnessing novel forms of collaboration or fundamental challenges to artistic authenticity? Wed. 20 May - Online only BOOK Professional writers are alarmed by the use of AI — to the extent that a recent novel edited using AI has been withdrawn from publication, and its author subjected to a predictable pile-on of outrage - despite the fact that almost all writers use AI in some form, for plot and character ideas, research, grammar, style checking, or simply as a creative stimulus. Geoff Davis (host) special guest: Dr David Link - Poetry Machine, works with #experimentalmusic #computerartsoc #digitalart #textart #aiwriting #aitext #aiartcommunity #artiststalk #aifiction #aipoetry #shygirlnovel

Early - 1984 - or even the first Glitch Art? It was the "race to Toy Story" for computer graphics at the time. This has overlaid randomised code and maths, with loud beeps and buzzes. This is all code not images or video effects. VIDEO on link. This creates a collage effect of the ‘insides’ of the computer. Generated on the fly by the program, each run is different. #computerartsoc #digitalart #textart #glitchart #glitch #1984 #1980s /geoff-davis-glitch-art-1984/

"Minimal" (my 2-year art program) is all about repetition and slow accumulation. So here's another post similar to the last one—by design. 561 days to go, 111 days gone, 7,444 pixels placed, of 45,056 (on 5th January 2026). A timeless parody of #CGI and high resolution (illusory) realism. Featured in CAS 'Drivers' exhibition still on at BCS London. With #PACMAN #arcadegames #christmastree vibes. Don't worry, new art coming soon. #minimalart #slowart #pixelart @computerartssoc
