I remember years ago this mother and daughter visited Michi Gabbi to request a custom made wedding dress…
They told me exactly what they wanted and we created magic,
Then came the first dress fitting day
The bride arrived and we unveiled her dress it was beautiful so we went ahead to get her into the dress, a few minutes later we unveiled the bride in her dress to her mum who was waiting to see her in anticipation, the moment the curtains slid open, I saw something I had never experienced in my year of providing dream wedding dresses to my brides.
The moment her mum saw her in that dress
Looking so beautiful beyond her expectations
Tears welled up in her eyes 🥺
The next moment those tears started flowing so freely…
Tears of joy…
Tears that expressed they have deep memories….
Tears that expressed this moment is a prayer answered
They both cried and I was shell shocked and I’m sure I must have shed a few tears too, this is one Bride her bridal fitting is etched in my memory for life.
On her wedding day this happened, it’s so beautiful to watch and once again I celebrate them
I pray for all mothers may our children bring us honour,
May they end up great, May they continue to be a source joy and peace to us, after we have laboured in love for them, May we be alive on the day of their celebration, we will not be absent or overlooked when it’s time to reap the fruits of our labour in Jesus name amen.
