8 years ago today (!) I got my first paid photo gig taking grad portraits for a friend as a student at the University of Texas. I’m usually bad at celebrating milestones and feel like I am always focused on the next thing, but it feels good to just sit for a sec and reflect with gratitude on the wild journey I’ve had with photography. I still can’t believe I get to do this for my job and owe it to all of the clients, friends, coworkers and mentors who have trusted and encouraged me through the years. I’m excited to continue growing as a storyteller and feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of bringing to life the beauty and nostalgia that drew me to this medium in the first place. It’s not easy putting myself out there in this way but it’s always worth it! Thank u for being here!
