It's my birthday this month, so I asked a bunch of people to memorize a really long monologue and the fact that they said yes is the best gift I've ever received. If you come to this show, you'll see this monologue performed ten different times, ten different ways, and that's a gift for you! Did I mention it's for my birthday?
A long time ago, I was on an improv team that was trying really weird stuff and it was a lot of fun. We wanted other people to try it, because we thought they would have fun too. So, we started an indie improv show where they could do that, ran it for ten years, and now it's now. Kind of crazy to do the same thing for ten years. Makes more sense when the people you're doing it with are your best friends. Tomorrow night is the ten year anniversary of Funk Shuffle Presents. Danny, Dennis, and I are gonna do improv for an hour. I hope you'll come.
They say every improviser has their "go-tos." I guess mine is just being on the ground? Come see me (probably) be on the ground some more tomorrow night at 7pm with Gravy Day!
