"Further Than The Eye Can See” will be premiering January 24th at the Paradise Theatre in Toronto. I photographed a good chunk of this film and it's quite pleasing knowing it'll have a nice large screen to display some very strange and beautiful images. Those images couldn't have come together without all of my friends and collaborators. Thanks to everyone involved, but big thanks to Ry.
When @michaelryanmohan takes my photo, I think of how being photographed has not always been so ubiquitous. I remember early school days and hoping mine would reveal something I wasn’t yet aware of. Instead we compared and insisted our images were nothing less than monstrous. And then we made spectacles of our little monsters and made getting ready to take photos the event we attended in our bedrooms. But being photographed isn’t nostalgic, it’s achingly sincere and sobering. I want to be full and voluminous when I’m seen and I think being photographed is part of the practice.
