Michael O’ Ryan | What am I Doing Here Ich werde ständig gefragt: „Was macht ein Kanadier in Berlin?“. Diese Serie ist ein Rückblick auf die Menschen und Charaktere, die mich beeinflusst und dazu inspiriert haben, den Sprung über den Atlantik zu wagen. Direkt von den Wäldern British Columbias nach Berlin, das zum Zeitpunkt meiner Ankunft die Grenze der westlichen Welt bildete. Eine Chance, alte Beziehungen aufleben zu lassen, neu zu betrachten und hoffentlich einige meiner ursprünglichen Motive und Inspirationen wiederzufinden. Mein herzlichster Dank geht an alle, die hier abgebildet sind. I‘m constantly asked, “what‘s a Canadian doing in Berlin?” This series is a look back at the people and personalities who influenced and inspired me to take a leap across the Atlantic. Literally from the forests of British Columbia to Berlin, which at the time of my arrival was the frontier of the western world. A chance to reconnect, reexamine and hopefully reveal some of my initial motives and inspirations. My heartfelt thanks to all who appear here.
