I was on the tarmac at LAX an hour and 37 minutes ago on my way to ATL when suddenly a generator on the plane broke…seconds and inches…TSA line or go to a @SheWantsRevenge concert that was originally supposed to happen a year ago. I’m on my way right now and I’m going full analogue tonight.
As I look down at this 27 year old Kodachrome 64 roll of film, which this film is still not as old as my friendship with Warfield.
Unlike digital, film has expiration dates.

I met a very skinny tall lanky kid fresh off the bus from Nor Calv(my home turf) so I knew I already liked him from one of my first friends in LA @baltgetty who was coming here to become an actor and from then on our crew of @shongreenblatt@scottthomasringside and others tore it up. Formosa Cafe Cass it was a different time. The fact we all made it out of the 90s alive was a miracle. As most of you know, Eric went on to become a very successful actor. Was he mc steamy or Mc dreamy, I photographed him for the last ship, he did movies but I know you all probably know him from euphoria that amazing character he played. I still get the creeps. I can’t believe he’s gone. It’s such a trip to lose a friend. The fact is, he’s not gone that skin that is might be but the essence the energy the spirit of Eric I guarantee you he’s in the next level tearing it up over, up, in there where ever there is. Dane and I shared a spirit of defiance. I think it helped us accomplish a lot from our turbulent childhoods it also got us into a lot of trouble than I know both of us if we had a choice would’ve rather avoided. Fact is we both carried a lot of demons that we have spent much of our adult lives battling which always connected us with that common fight the good fight. I can’t believe he’s gone. Such a trip well here’s to a good friend, who went from a skinny lanky boy to a gladiator of a man chiseled in stone….. with that goatee oooh Euphoria. RWG my brother rest with God.
One of the most amazing experiences at Nihi is their Spa Safari at Nihioka Beach. Throughout the resort, Nihi incorporates Equine Wellness with horses they rescue and care for. I had an Equine massage and this horse, Hanna, knew i had issues on the right side of my body (had a motorcycle accident the week before and my right arm and leg were ground beef.) The horse also was yawning alot which the facilitator said she has never seen her yawn so much during a session. When you see the horse yawning, it often means they’re relaxing. Horses are very sensitive to the energy and emotional state around them. As you release tension or pain or process something, they can show that shift through yawning — like a visible sign that the energy in the space has calmed. So Hanna, the horse, was supporting me in this way by intuitively being close to the injured right side of my body yawning as I relaxed and healed. Coming to the end of a decade of Documenting horses around the World, I’ve landed in what might be the closest to Paradise i’ve experienced. I have traveled to over 150 countries in my life times on this ball of blue, and don’t usually take much stock in awards as i feel like they’re bought, but in 2024 Condé Nast voted Nihi Sumba the BEST resort in Indonesia, Nihi also won the inaugural Forbes Travel Edge List in 2025 and Michelin gave it 3 stars; I think Michelin should create a new 4 star category and put Nihi at the top of that list! I’ll be posting a bit more this week to show you just how amazing this place is!
