Michael is a first generation Egyptian-American filmmaker. The loss of his best friend, Jimmy, is what set his life on an entirely new course, and is what drives much of the inspiration behind his work.
We look forward to you joining us on this journey as we submit Tino to notorious film festivals such as TIFF, Telluride, Venice Film Festival, and others.

Tino is a Feature Film filmed in the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding regions. In this film, which is Directed by Michael James Mina and Executive Produced by Kaitlyn and Jackie Diehl, we follow Tino, a homeless drug addict who desires the love and acceptance of his Father, Charles Anderson, the Police Commissioner of Philadelphia. However, Tino’s broken lifestyle and passion for ballet continues to put distance between the two, leaving their relationship in jeopardy.
This film will be entered into major film festivals Internationally and throughout the United States. As we embark on a very special journey with this film, we invite you to be a part of it!
