To all my rescue friends and fellow animal advocates…
Whether you like Spencer Pratt or not, one thing is becoming very clear: he has helped shine a spotlight on the animal crisis happening in our shelters. That alone shows something important… the animal welfare community has leverage, and politicians are starting to realize people care about this issue.
We need to use this moment to our advantage.
I’m challenging everyone who does NOT want Pratt in office to start pressuring the candidates they do support. Reach out to Karen Bass. Reach out to Nithya Raman. Ask them directly:
“What is your plan to address the shelter crisis and enforce animal protection laws?”
Because right now, many animal advocates are frustrated that the only person loudly talking about these issues is Spencer Pratt.
No more politicians who ignore animal welfare.
No more treating this like a “side issue.”
Enough is enough.
If candidates want our votes, they need to make animals a priority.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just signed major animal protection bills into law. Meanwhile, what are California politicians doing? Far too often… nothing.
We cannot stay silent anymore. We cannot keep complaining only from behind keyboards. And trust me, I’m guilty of that too. But I’m ready to show up, speak out, and get loud for the animals.
Look what happened with the Ridglan Farms beagles. Public pressure works. Mobilizing works. Change is possible when people see we mean business.
I truly believe the animal welfare community can sway elections if we organize, mobilize, and make our voices impossible to ignore.

Thank you @barryfwalsh and @realscreen for this wonderful feature! I really appreciate the important work you are doing to spotlight our industry in such a meaningful way!
I’m doubling down! Am I advocating for Spencer Pratt? Maybe. Am I advocating against Karen Bass and Nithya Raman? Absolutely! And if you are a person who has never rescued or fostered an animal or been to a local shelter… Please don’t come after me because I’m going to make sure to call you out on that. You have no place in this discussion if you haven’t done your part to help the animals of LA. 💜🐾🙏#standupforpitsfoundation
The puppies competing in the Stanley Pup aren’t just adorable ... they’re all adoptable rescue dogs looking for forever homes. Tune in to watch on June 8th to see the action. #usatodaypets
Some fun moments from last night’s magical reunion of Charlie’s Angels in honor of the shows 50th Anniversary.
So cool to see these iconic women together for the first time in 30 years reliving happy memories from my childhood.
If you love this lady, do yourself a favor and read this beautiful article written by Ema Sasic for the Desert Sun profiling our friend Dolores Robinson, the first Black female personal talent manager in Hollywood, who recently received her very own star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. Such a well deserved profile for this extraordinary woman! 👏❤️⭐️🌴 **SWIPE**
