We're trying something new at Rogue! This is the first workshop of its kind as far as we know... UNBRANDING W/MICHAEL DELGADO & MICHAEL SIELAFF! What's unbranding? It's the opposite of one of those "Branding" workshops where the teacher and class stereotypes you, letting you know what you "look like" so you can target those roles as an actor. BOO! Let's UN-Brand ourselves and actually take control of our acting careers by submitting for roles that we can effectively play without giving in to what strangers/gatekeepers tell us we "should" be submitting for. We can't change the bad habits of the industry, but we can be empowered to take control of our own narrative. This workshop, led by Manager/Actor Michael Delgado and Actor/Artivist Michael Sielaff, will unpack how Hollywood/Agents/Casting typecast you, explore your true identity, educate you on how to [re]market yourself, and, will hopefully be an opportunity to cathartically reconstruct your NEW image as an artist! Nobody is "right" for EVERY role, but maybe we'll book more if we target roles we can play with honesty and integrity- roles that the higher-ups wouldn't necessarily imagine us playing. Sign-up by emailing us at [email protected]! If you have already signed up, expect an email with more details coming your way in the next few days. What: Unbranding Workshop: Ditch Your Stereotype When: Thursday, April 30th from 7:30-10pm Where: The Clinic, 11600 Venice Blvd, Mar Vista, CA 90066 Cost/Sign-Up: $20. Register by emailing [email protected] (Student Limit: 14) Who is this for? -Actors -Casting Directors/Producers -Activists -Managers/Agents -Anyone interested in flipping the script on Hollywood stereotyping! Contact us for more info at [email protected]!

“A good story should make you laugh, and a moment later break your heart.” ~Chuck Palahniuk, Novelist Meaning- just tell the truth. :) Join us on Wednesday, March 18th as we gather to tell stories and sharpen our skills! Whether you're brand new to formal storytelling or a veteran, know that you have thousands of stories in you just waiting to be told. Polish them with Rogue, then go out and share them with family, friends, and audiences at storytelling shows! The details for Wednesday: STORYTELLING WORKSHOP IN FILIPINOTOWN or ON ZOOM WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22nd from 8-10PM - RSVP! Michael Sielaff will guide attendees in a storytelling exercise (i.e. story mining, technique, or exploring tone/emotion) and then open it up for everyone to share a a 5-7 minute first-person story with optional feedback. If you'd rather just listen, that's okay too, just make sure if you're on Zoom to reveal yourself verbally or in the chat so we know who you are. Storytelling is vulnerable and often makes the story sharers more comfortable when we hear a little bit from everyone in the room. Your story could be ANYTHING - as long as it happened to YOU! Again, feedback is optional, but it's highly encouraged. There will be guidelines to ensure all comments and suggestions build the storyteller up. No need to come prepared with a story! This workshop will hopefully help you uncover moments in your life you can share about. April Story Themes: Etiquette, Manners, Protocol, Decorum, Courtesy, Formality, Convention, Social Graces, Conduct, Civility, Style, Attitude, Polite, Rules, Habit, Pranks, Easter The Schedule 8:00 - Storytelling Exercise 9:00 - 5-7 Minute Stories w/Optional Feedback RSVP for the address to attend in-person or for the Zoom link. Hope to see you Wednesday night! :) P.S. Upcoming Storytelling Opportunities: *CLOW (Class + Show/Open Mic): Wednesday, May 6th from 8-10pm in Los Feliz - Theme: Let Go! *Workshop: Wednesday, May 20th from 8-10pm in Filipinotown/on Zoom *SHOW: Wednesday, May 27th from 7-8pm in Los Feliz

This Sunday there are multiple opportunities to join the Rogue community for some laughtivism (artivism's younger cousin) in Filipinotown! The details for Sunday, April 19th: 4-6PM IMPROV LAUGHTIVISM - FOCUS: ETIQUETTE Laughtivism = Comedic Activism. There are so many ways to advocate for yourself and others beyond the protests/marches! That's right, it's tIme for an improv jam focused on social issues. Specifically we'll explore April's theme of ETIQUETTE and all its subcategories: Manners, Class, Judgement, Rules, Courtesy, Respect, Convention, Social Graces, Conduct, Civility, Style, Attitude, Politeness, Habits, Etc. Let's use improv comedy and a dash of discussion to unpack our understandings and expectations when it comes to ETIQUETTE and anything adjacent. You have an activism outlet with Rogue. This is a unique chance to join an improv jam that involves playing characters and initiating scenes that ask questions and reveal nuance! Put skepticism aside and give it a try. :) And then, next up, it's movie night! Coming to a [home] theater near you... 7-10PM 'PARASITE' VIEWING/CONVERSATION Join us in watching 2020's Best Picture, 'Parasite' (99% on Rotten Tomatoes). This Oscar-winning, genre bending film has shades of Horror, Thriller, [Dark] Comedy, Crime, Suspense, and Drama. 'Parasite' focuses on the members of the poor Kim family who see an opportunity when their son starts working for the rich Park family. Soon, they find ways to work within the same household and live a parasitic life. Written by critically acclaimed South Korean director Bong Joon Ho (with Han Jin-won) whose other works include The Host (2006), Snowpiercer (2013), Okja (2017), and Mickey 17 (2025). 'Parasite' is widely praised as a "gasp-inducing masterpiece" and a "tonal juggling act" that offers a "daring examination of structural inequity." All are welcome to join the party to view and discuss! For more info and to RSVP email [email protected]!

What does it really feel like to leave the place that raised you? In this episode of Grace Period, I sit down with a longtime friend to talk about what it’s been like moving from Minnesota to California and building a life far from where we grew up. We talk about what we miss, what’s been harder than expected, how relationships change, and what “home” starts to mean when you’re living somewhere new. It’s honest, relatable, funny at times, and deeper than you might expect. If you’ve ever moved away, felt homesick, or tried to figure out where you belong—this one’s for you.
