Searching for the proper words to honor the heartbreaking passing of a true legend, Bob Weir. Bobby was definitively one of the patriarchs of the community and culture we live for. After co-founding the band 60 years ago, carried the torch for Jerry and the great American songbook of the Grateful Dead for the past 3 decades since the world lost Jerry.
These captures are from the one time we had the honor and privilege of working with the rock and roll icon. The Bobby Weir Incident at Hulaween on Sunday, Oct 27th 2024. The first performance by Bobby, 2 days after the death of Phil Lesh. It was a deeply emotional moment of catharsis, collaboration, and family that will live on in our minds, hearts, and the folklore of Suwannee Music Park for eternity. We are gutted by this devastating loss.
Forever grateful to have shared time and space on earth with you, and of course for getting to enjoy your beautiful music as the soundtrack to our lives. We will do our part to never let the flame of this quintessential legacy you helped create ever burn out. Our love will not fade away, and we bid you goodnight, King.

My appreciation and recognition of the creative wizardry that goes into Hulaween cannot be understated. Every contributor of Spirit Lake, the musicians performing on stage, the community with their costumes, elaborate campsites, and renegades, the world class documentation by the multi media capturers who help us memorialize it all, the rest of the core and extended team for their countless hours, and so much more. It’s all art, and it’s beautiful. Thank you legends, for a very special #12. ✨
