Happy Auslan week! What is Auslan? Auslan is Australian sign language- like most sign languages it is big and beautifully visual. It’s been a treat discovering and learning this wonderful language and the incredible deaf community who proudly share their way of communication.
If you’re interested in getting involved there are plenty of resources available in Australia (for Auslan) -Deaf connect and other small business that are deaf-lead.
If you live somewhere else, do some digging and investigating to see how you can get involved in your deaf community and learn your countries sign language!
*It’s always important that if you are learning sign language to learn from a deaf person.
Thanks to Imelda for sharing some of her experience.
Big love. 🤟

I’d like to recognise that there are much bigger issues going on at the moment- this is just my personal wound.
I’ll stand by these women who got me my start and I believe they made this decision with my best interests at heart- I won’t stand for any hate speech toward them.
Stick around to watch me pick up the pieces, feel free to laugh along the way, it’s gonna be messy, it’s gonna be victorious.
Chase your dreams 🤟
Love,
That washed up actor,
