Someleze (@milani.someleze ) hit up with cool love story concept and I instantly was drawn to the concept and thought process behind the music video
We wanted to pay homage to @ezracollective ‘God Gave Me A Feet For Dancing’ which was directed by @tajanatokyo & shot by @charlie_knight_
In Prep Someleze & I worked extremely heavy on building a aesthetic that felt and looked like film, but shot digitally. We landed on the Canon FD S.S.C paired with film emulation, done by the legendary @niko.colorist and with a small intimate crew we hit the streets of Kew Gardens

Someleze (@milani.someleze ) wanted to do this top down shot that he’s seen @karl_shakur do for a while now wanted to recreate this sick top down match cut he did last summer. He’s thought was to illustrate the rocky relationship on its last legs and we deliberately make the shots look out of sync and not (match-cuts) to portray the different wave-length the couple are on.
