I present to you ā€œThe Good Worth Fighting Forā€ In the last year, I have been learning everyday the process of writing and recording songs. My brother in music @smcarthu deserves a great deal of credit for this. I’ve never been on the mission to have my music go anywhere beyond what’s local to me. I never guessed I’d get the chance to play some of it at Red Rocks amphitheater and see it reach the far corners of the world the way it has. For this I will always be so grateful to Fher, Sergio, and the whole @manaoficial family. I don’t even know how to process what they did for me. But it gives me great joy when I think of it. ā€œThe Good Worth Fighting Forā€ is a continuation of the process of writing for ā€œMidnight on Larimer Squareā€ while trying to react to unexpected experiences along the way. I’d rather let the words and sounds of this record say to you whatever it is that you want to hear from them. And while it still is just a humble production from my home bedroom studio, I am very proud of it and excited to share it with you. We’re all trying to make sense of what is going on around us in the world. I decided to let that be and for the last 14 months I’ve just been trying to make sense of what is going on inside my own head and heart instead. I hope there is something on this record that helps you do the same, that gives you reason to groove, and to realize there is so much love around us everywhere. The road ahead is yet long and I am sure full of surprises for all of us. I am grateful forever for all of the love and support from people everywhere. I’ve experienced kindness, love, and joy in ways I never thought would happen in my life because I pursued music. Additional thanks to @gueikian and @pcacevedo for arriving on the scene in the final stages with something very special to help me finish the job. PS…I have one more trick up my sleeve before year’s end. I’m working on a tribute record that is already about halfway done and I expect to release before 2025 is history. ā€œThere is good in this world, and it’s worth fighting forā€ ~Samwise Gamgee ā¤ļøšŸŽøāœØ

If there are infinite parallel universes out there, I could never have guessed that this would happen to me in any of them. Too many names to remember, but to the band and crew, the timeless ManÔ…Fher, Sergio, Alex, Juan, Fernando…To see the way you united ten thousand people in complete love and unity from start to finish was so beautiful. It has not left my thoughts. Thank you for whatever it is that you saw in me to ask me to join you. To Betty, Andres, Adrian, Aaron, Juan, Luis, Steve, Monica, Koko, Georgie, Troy, Ulysses and especially lovely Denise…you are with me forever…And everyone I was not able to meet personally, I saw how hard you worked to make those two nights so special for everyone. To the venue crew…Mittens, Laura, Marty, Katrina and everyone who works so hard to make that place so magical…(and of course the raccoons) The amphitheater will never be the same again to me. To the crowds on both nights, and everyone along the way these last 5 years I’ve met on the street who told me they believe in me, it’s all for you. To feel you respond to not only music that I covered, but music I wrote and recorded in my bedroom with such excitement causes such a powerful feeling in me. I love playing music so much. The only reason I ever pick up my guitar is not for glory, it’s because I rely on what it does for my heart. To share that feeling with you is a gift I will carry forever. To you who personally shared this crazy thing with me as it came into our worlds, I hope I told you enough during and after how much I love you and how grateful I am to you for being a part of it. And to anyone who reads this who wonders about their own dreams, do not ever let anyone ever convince you it’s too late or it’s not worth the struggle. Your whole life can change in a moment in pursuit of them. Don’t ever give up. If you believe in it, follow it wherever it leads you. Find me streaming… Michael Cec Midnight on Larimer Square, Bring me the Horizon, and (coming next month), The Good Worth Fighting For I don’t know what could possibly come next, but I trust the Universe and I’m here for it. šŸŽøšŸ¤˜šŸ½āœØ

Hey, it’s summer time. The cool night is calling downtown. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your appetite, and bring your spirit. We’ll take care of the rest. Propers and dues to my boy @david_bonilla2001 for coming down to capture some of how our fair city shows its love. This is what it’s all about to me. I’m grateful for every night like this. And there have been so many for years now and I lost track forever ago. I hope that finally giving some of my own music back begins to pay the eternal debt I owe for all of the love. (There’s more comingšŸ˜‰) We’ll see you soon down therešŸŽøāœØ PS…I’ll be at the Pearl Street Farmers Market this Sunday playing some tunes from 9 to 1. So come down there to stock up on your produce and have some breakfast tacos.

Now streaming everywhere… The music of @gregoryalanisakov has been very meaningful for me for a very long time. When I started performing regularly on the streets in Denver, it was his music that gave me the deepest sense of meaning and purpose to learn and play for the city. As the years have gone on, I’ve been mistaken for him a couple of times, which I regard as a high compliment, and I’ve been able to share my love of his music with many many people who also find great joy when his songs play. I’ve been working on this project for awhile and I now present to you, ā€œTime Will Tell: A tribute to Gregory Alan Isakovā€ There a few covers of other folk artists whose music I enjoy including Watchouse, Bon Iver, and Nathaniel Rateliff. This record isn’t meant for any other reason than to say thank you, specifically to Gregory. I’m sure I am not the only who would tell you that your music provides something very deep and very meaningful. You’re a hometown hero to us here. May you enjoy my humble bedroom recordings of these great songs, influenced only by my years of performing them live in downtown Denver.

Had a great time capturing the vibe from @michael_cec4 and @jennifer.d.scott at a farmers market. Such a great duo performance! I had a blast editing this cut of the footage I took, and then mastering the audio. #musicmonday #livemusic #videoproduction #videoediting #coloradomusic #duo #farmersmarket

A lot of folks have been asking how they can see my full performances from the two shows at red rocks amphitheater a few weeks back. First of all, it’s ManÔ’s performances you really want to see, but as far as my sets are concerned, I think it’s best for them to remain sacred within those red walls. Me and Bear think it’s best that we not dwell on what was and focus on what’s next. I continue to be so humbled at all the excitement and love that still comes every day from this experience. I hear all of you and I love you. And I’m working hard every day on music so that I might get the chance to share another experience with you. And I will be forever grateful to @manaoficial for giving me a one in eight billion chance opportunity to share a stage with them. And in this time that has passed since then I have become a forever devoted fan of theirs. But I don’t wish to say no completely to people because, after God, they are the reason for all of this in the end. So may I present a live version of ā€˜burn you down’, live at red rocks, night two of opening for ManĆ”, the most exciting and legendary Latin rock band of all time. Excellent photography and video work from two first class guys, @aatripp0 and @boterophotography šŸ“ø. And finally, my second album, ā€œthe good worth fighting forā€ is in its final stage of production and I expect to release it for streaming everywhere sometime in the second half of October. We’ll see you somewhere, sometime soon šŸ¤˜šŸ½šŸŽøāœØā™„ļø
