After his UFC Winnipeg main event victory over Gilbert Burns, Mike Malott reveals how important the victory was not only for him but for his coach Kru Alin whose son tragically passed earlier in 2026 serving his country overseas.
Alin tells Malott that the first call he would make after every fight he coached was to his son Sebastian and says that he was here with them during the victory. Malott describes carrying that emotion into the octagon for his fight with Burns because he wanted to bring some sort of positivity for his coach after such a tragedy.
