From San Diego to the NBA. 🏀
NBA Champion & Denver Nuggets assistant coach Jared Dudley sits down with me to talk about his journey from Horizon High to Boston College to the league — and the mindset it took to make it happen.
He breaks down how mastering the little things kept him in the game when athleticism wasn’t his advantage.

"It wasn't a moment. It was who I am!"
I asked Norman a question I like to ask any high-level athlete that I get the opportunity to sit down with, "At what point did you realize that you were pretty good.. that you were better than most?" I very much appreciated his honest answer!
He said from idolizing Kobe, he developed that same arrogance. So much so that when he arrived to Lincoln High school his freshman year of high school, his arrogance was so much of a problem that he had to have an intervention with the coaches and was consequently sent down from Junior Varsity to the freshman team to be humbled.

I don't normally speak like this.. and even when I do, I've never put it on IG! However, sometimes I think it's important to both let people know that you hear them, and also remind them exactly who you are, especially as opposed to who they are.
I'm not sure I'll ever make a post like this again.. but this time, I had to address a hater. Just leave me alone!
