FEB 21 at Penny Lane Music Emporium - Nick Dumas & Branchline brings a hard-driving bluegrass performance to the stage and has been entertaining crowds across the country since 2022. From major music festivals, to theaters and house concerts, private events and more, every crowd this band has played for has been in awe and left wanting more! Some of the well known music festivals Nick Dumas & Branchline have performed at include Wintergrass Music Fesitval, the IBMA Bluegrass Ramble, Darrington Bluegrass Fesitval, Pickin’ In The Pines, Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, and many others!

Known for his unmistakable tone and fearless originality, Gabe was far more than a gifted musician—he was a force of joy, honesty, and connection in every room he entered.”
I met Gabe at Banjo Camp North up in MA. We immediately connected over our mutual MA connections in Newton, Berklee/NEC, etc. He was a generous, humorous, and humble person who truly lit up the room. Over the years we would occasionally connect online. He was deeply committed to his music - sharing, teaching, making connections. This is terribly sad news. Condolences to his family, friends, students, and all whose lives he touched.

Originally from the sacred bluegrass mountains of southwestern Virginia, Thomas Cassell is among the highest rank of modern bluegrass musicians. Cassell currently plays mandolin with the Wood Box Heroes, racking up numerous Grand Ole Opry performances with the band. Previously, he was a founding member of respected progressive group Circus No. 9, and has performed as a sideman with Billy Strings, the Bryan Sutton Band, Jim Lauderdale, Nefesh Mountain, Missy Raines, Bronwyn-Keith Hynes, and many more.
