Right now, we are especially low on wet wipes for our neonatal kittens and cat carriers for their trips to foster homes. Exciting news! Michigan Humane is launching Detroit’s only low-cost urgent care clinic to meet an overwhelming demand from pet families in the city. Our Grosfeld Veterinary Clinic will continue to offer vaccines and spay-neuter appointments, but will increase capacity for daytime urgent care appointments. This new model allows us to help even more animals and their families. Coral’s before and after does not even feel real. When she arrived at Michigan Humane, she was suffering from severe demodectic mange. Her skin was painfully inflamed, much of her fur was gone, and she needed immediate medical care. This was not an overnight transformation. It took treatment, patience, healing, and a team willing to fight for her every step of the way through our Critical Care program. Today, Coral is healthy, healed, and adopted. Her story is a reminder of what can happen when animals are given the chance, care, and time they deserve. Sometimes the best kind of medicine is… puppy love and kitten cuddles! 🐕🐈 Our nursing excellence council partnered with Michigan Humane to bring some furry friends to Henry Ford Hospital for a special visit. These adorable puppies, kittens and more will be available for adoption this Saturday, May 9, at Michigan Humane’s Tailgate event. Head to @mhumane to learn more.

These two dogs almost became stories nobody ever heard. 🐾 Instead, they became everything to someone. At one point, Jessi and Rocky were just two more dogs sitting in the shelter system waiting for someone to notice them. Now they are standing in Roosevelt Park with the people who changed their lives forever. Mike adopted Jessi during one of our Meet Your Best Friend adoption events at his law firm. Matt adopted Rocky directly from Michigan Humane. Before that, both dogs had the same uncertain beginning so many shelter animals face every single day. They simply needed to be seen. That is why Meet Your Best Friend matters so much at Tailgate. This Saturday, we are bringing a live adoption event directly into the heart of Detroit because visibility changes lives. Every person who walks through Tailgate creates another opportunity for an animal to be noticed, connected with, and chosen.
