Attention everyone — as many of you are aware, our big South African mate Ignus has been seriously poorly recently. Thank you to Nic Hanlon for setting up the page, and a big thank you to Andy French for taking on the Harborough Half Marathon today to help raise funds and support for Ignus and his family.
If you’re not aware of what’s happened, please take 5 minutes to read his story below. Ignus has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological condition, and faces a long road to recovery.
Anyone who knows Ignus knows the energy he brings, his massive smile, and how much time he gives to his family, mates, students and teammates. He’s always there for others, so now it’s our turn to get behind him.
Please donate if you can — every bit of support will help Ignus focus on getting stronger and, hopefully soon, getting his rugby boots back on.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR M&J U16 GIRLS COACHING TEAM
We are delighted to announce that our M&J U16 Girls Coaching Team has been nominated for the Volunteer of the Year Awards, supported by Switch, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to rugby over the past 12 months. They will be attending the celebration event tomorrow at Leicester Lions RFC, ahead of the County Championship match between Leicestershire and Warwickshire men. We wish them the best of luck at the event.
