Here's my storyboards from my latest fight! I used a mixture of hand drawings and 3D posing software.
Every time I do a new project I like to storyboard every single frame. And that's doubly true for fight scenes! Certain moves require specific angles. And only doing the necessary choreo for those angles means the performers are saving their limited energy. By the time I'm on set I'm typically shooting for the edit.
Plus I'm playing at my childhood dream of being a comic book artist :)

From start to finish, what a blast this was to put together. I finally got to direct AND perform in this one.

My turn! Finally I'm back in FRONT of the camera.
This fight was originally choreographed by the legendary stuntman William Hobbs for the 1995 film "Rob Roy" starring Liam Neeson and Tim Roth, recreated here with love and reverence.
It was an honor and a blast to fight with Wes Lambert, who is an incredible swordsman, stuntman, actor -- and all around great guy. We spent months learning and rehearsing the fight to get it to what you see on screen and I couldn't be more proud of our work.
Directed, shot, and stunt-supervised by Adam Critchlow who generously donated his expertise and his Saturday.
