Did you know we have a book sorter? This sorter automatically checks in library materials and sorts them by youth or adult collection. When items are unable to be checked in or is not an item in our collection, such as Benny the Bean, they ride the sorter all the way to a special bin to be reviewed by library staff. This sorter is the only way we can keep up with all the books the amazing readers of our community read during the Summer Reading Challenge! Next time you return a book take a peak through the windows to watch your items ride along!
We don't know how Benny got onto the sorter but please only return library books and discs through the sorter slot; tote bags and other large items should always be handed to a staff member at the reserve window or information desk.
