L'exposition personnelle NOUVEAU FAUVE de Slava Vorontsov met l'accent sur la peinture abstraite expressionniste, tout en présentant également des œuvres graphiques et des sculptures. Les couleurs et les gestes établissent un pont entre les générations d'artistes, en résonnance avec l'héritage du fauvisme et de la galerie Haut-Pavé, où Matisse et Dufy ont exposé en 1954. Ce «nouveau fauve» propose une vision contemporaine de ce mouvement.
Les œuvres s'inspirent des recherches anthropologiques de l'artiste, explorant l'humain comme partie intégrante de la force animale de la nature — destructrice ou créatrice. La pièce centrale, Résurrection du Nouveau Fauve (2025, peau d'animal sauvage sur châssis, 60,5 x 75,5 cm,
Paris), peut se lire comme une métaphore de la guerre et de la violence latente de l'humanité.
La peau de l'animal devient alors un signe d'identification sacrée, incarnant la puissance et la fragilité naturelles de l'homme.
Slava Vorontsov a terminé en 2025 le programme Hérodote des Beaux-Arts de Paris, qui permet à des artistes en exil non francophones de reprendre contact avec le monde de l'art et de l'enseignement supérieur.

Viacheslav Vladislavovitch Vorontsov (born 1987, USSR) is a contemporary artist living and working in Paris. Born in the village of Tazovsky, located above the Arctic Circle in the Tyumen region of the former USSR, Vorontsov grew up in a family of artists and is the great-grandson of the renowned Russian realist painter Vasily Vereshchagin.
After completing his studies in painting at an art school, he specialized in street art, graffiti, and tattooing before expanding his creative practice to fashion design and album cover art (…)

Artist Viacheslav Vorontsov (b. 1987, USSR) invites viewers into his Paris-based atelier for an intimate encounter with his practice. Born in the remote Arctic village of Tazovsky in the Tyumen region, Vorontsov descends from a lineage of artists and is the great-grandson of Russian realist painter Vasily Vereshchagin. His path has been anything but linear, moving from early training in academic art to the raw immediacy of graffiti, tattooing, and clothing design, alongside a prolific musical output spanning fifteen solo albums.
Working primarily in large-scale painting, Vorontsov fuses expressionism with abstract, naïve, and figurative modes. His recent works reflect a period of exile and transformation, having left Russia in 2023, he settled in France, completing his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2025. Vorontsov’s practice delves into themes of war and peace, displacement, and the body’s negotiation with faith and desire.
