💭 what does dance mean to you? — Heels is one of the few spaces where the aesthetic, sensual, expressive part of me gets to take up space without needing to justify itself, and where I get to witness others doing exactly the same. There’s a shared taste for sound, visual, atmosphere that makes the room feel like it’s already speaking your language before you even move. A community that actively wants to see you come alive, that shouts out for you, fills something real. I call it an unapologetic pursuit of beauty, and finding people who are in that pursuit with you. It’s also about witnessing something being built. The Seattle heels community is coming together in a way that feels electric, each group bringing their own flair, mingling, expanding the circle. Dancers become friends and show up for each other. What started small is growing into something more seen, more influential, more inclusive, and yet the space stays inviting without asking you to give up your independence or your own pace of growth. If Seattle becomes a city of memories, this part is personal and will have a special place in my heart. ❤️
💭 What’s your favorite or most memorable moment in FemmeX Season 2? — So many! 🥂 The year-end party where I got to know everyone beyond dance — seeing personalities off the floor, whether they matched or surprised what I expected, and the vulnerabilities people shared. ✨ Watching choreography unfold and adjust in real time, fresh out of the oven. Appreciating that I showed up consistently for every session, even when I had to be late. 🎥 The shooting day — a real highlight and the harvest of all the work!

The first heels class I took was her choreo “it’s yo birthday” taught by @jn_nj.v
at @coffeedance_ about a year ago. I still remember watching dance videos of quite a few Korean fem dancers and I was like this is so hot so cute so siiiiiick but looks rly difficult I might break myself😵 can I do it?? Now I’m vibin with one of them having a whole trip on the floor. One of the happiest decisions I ever made hands down😙

Wanna do some throw back to my trip to SoCal last year thx giving⏳ It was pretty unreal the moment I recognized this place when revisiting, where I recalled being 10 years ago when first arriving in the states. Idk why I have such vivid memory about this restaurant hehe, I still remember how the terrace, indoor and outdoor dinning area layout, the wide-open yet super laid-back view of the city of Orange. The only difference is that the day was still bright in Summertime approaching to sunset. Wish I had taken some photos back then I’m so curious if things I remember are accurate :p, but I guess sometimes memories are meant to be replaced or merged into new ones…so looking forward to the days ahead of creating some more❤️ #happy10yearanniversaryofmyjourney #ifeelsogrownup
