MET Studio are proud to announce our involvement with @sightsavers #EyeHealthEquals campaign on this year’s #WorldSightDay. Working in close collaboration, we created a campaign where key Sightsavers supporters were each asked to take an ‘unseen selfie’ whereby they cover their own eyes as they take a selfie. By temporarily removing their own sight and putting themselves in a vulnerable state by having their picture taken and posted online, we raise awareness of the issue of sight loss – we then reinforce this message with the importance of Sightsaver’s role in preventing visual impairment around the world, building empathy with the subject and encouraging the audience to think of the issue ‘through the eyes’ of people affected by sight loss.
