The Lettered edition is limited to 26 copies. Every cover has been painted by hand, making each book a one of one.
Printed letterpress on Fabriano Tiepolo 130 gsm paper, these books feature a three-piece Bradel binding by fine bookbinder Lorna McCurdy, capped on both ends by hand-crafted silk head and tail bands using a beautifully complex ombre technique.
The endsheets are a multi-leaf construction—a practice employed in the rare and antiquarian world—using mould made Hahnemuhle Bugra paper from Germany, which have been blind stamped with an elegant concentric ray pattern.
Each Lettered copy comes in a leather-wrapped clamshell case with a unique aperture highlighting the striking color gradient of the hand-painted cover.
The cases are clad in renowned Taurillon leather from the historic Rémy Carriat tannery in France, where iconic Parisian ateliers have sourced their goods for decades.
Edition labels denoting each copy designation have been artfully inset into the interiors, which have been printed letterpress on a gorgeous handmade linen-flax paper from Paper Foundation, whose papers have been used by esteemed institutions such as the Guggenheim, the Vatican, and the Library of Congress.
