I scraped the sign from the window and locked the door for the last time today at the little studio. I’m going to miss it.
Im sad.... But I also know that there are new things around the corner. I have so much hope for what’s next!

Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,
Method Studio will be closing the in-person studio space on July 31. I want to thank this amazing community for the unbelievable support that you have shown to me, the students, and the studio over the past 5 years. I have been holding out hope that everything would be back to normal by the time school opened.... but as we all know.... that did not happen.
I will continue to release weekly art videos on YouTube and IGTV and I hope you will all follow along and make art at home! I don’t know what the future will hold for Method Studio so I don’t want to predict anything but I do want to leave you with this thought:
I started Method Studio with a very simple thought in mind.
We are all artists.
I say it a lot because I believe it deeply. We don’t all create the same way, but we all have the capacity to create. And with that in mind I wanted to open a physical space that was specifically for kids to lean into the creative capacity that they can still access so easily. As we grow up sometimes we tend to quiet that part of our souls. We tend to favor practical over expressive. But when we are young.... man.... it’s different. The world is so magical when we are young. Each week I felt honored to host these children and give them permission to dive deep into expression and tell their stories and to teach them skills and techniques so they could more easily say what was in their hearts. And if you have followed the studio on IG or FB you have seen the amazing works that these kids have made. Wow. I’m so proud of them all! But honestly, the studio has also become my own creative expression and it has given me such life over the past years! So I want to say to all the kids AND all the adults.....
Paint your picture, write your story, compose your song, dance, plan, solve, and dream. You have it in you!
