Been a while since I posted - and what a time it's been! Can't believe it's been a month since I turned the big 5-0!
Since it's a big birthday, I decided to do a "Bucket List" item to memorialize it. At the top of the list has been to go to the Library of Congress and see the original art to Amazing Fantasy 15, the first appearance of Spider-Man! Even more amazing was all the things that happened along the way. Here's a quick recap:
1) Bucket List goal achieved!!
2) At the beginning of my trip, I had a crazy moment. Yup, that's Tom Holland! What were the odds of running into Spider-Man on a Spider-Man themed trip?! Got to chat for a minute and he wished me a happy 50th!
3) First went to hang with my brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and niece!
4) Went to the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament and got a selfie with Belinda Bencic - former world number 4 and winner of the 2020 Olympics!
5) Flew to Washington DC. Got to see the Lincoln Memorial and all the monuments along the National Mall. Stayed at the famous Watergate hotel.
6) "Touching" the top of the Washington Monument.
7) Visited the Museum of Natural History, saw the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives, viewed my first da Vinci at the National Gallery of Art, and awed at the Apollo 11 module at the Air and Space Museum.
8) Floored by the Spidey art at the Library of Congress, saw the portrait of Washington used on the $1 bill at the National Portrait Gallery, enjoyed an awesome sports exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, and traveled the DC Metro.
9) Unexpected surprise! There was a comic book convention in DC that my friends Chris and Gregg were coming into town for! Just got to see them in January after not seeing them for a decade, so was excited to see them again so soon! Also got to hang with their friends Jerzy, Dennis, Mark, Chris, Zeke, John, and Uncle Bob!
10) BDay meals and hangs with Theresa, Ray, Dom, Paul, and my folks!
Had an absolutely amazing BDay time. There aren't enough slides to document every cool thing. Can't thank all these folks enough for being a part of the most awesome BDay celebration ever. Even Tom deserves thanks. Thanks, Tom. :-P
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Steph pulling up from 38 feet for the iconic overtime game winning shot and Mike Breen's historic, "BANG! BANG!" capping the greatest regular season game ever!

I keep getting asked who I'm rooting for in the Super Bowl and - I dunno? I don't like either the Seahawks or the Patriots! So... I think I'm rooting for good snacks and commercials while I watch?
Since the Super Bowl is being held in the Niners stadium, decided to memorialize the day with a tribute to the running back who brought me so many great memories when I was growing up. I always remembered his high stepping when he got his legs churning. He was the first NFL player to have 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same season. He's the well-deserving latest member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Roger Craig!
