5 years. That’s how long ‘FM POWER’ has been waiting in the dark 🕰️
To celebrate its release, I dropped a brand new mix on YouTube & SoundCloud! But first, a little backstory...
I started this track when I first began producing. I was obsessed with the concept, but I simply didn’t have the technical skills to make it hit the way I heard it in my head. So, it got shelved. I shifted my focus to that euphoric Liquicity dancefloor sound, and FM POWER gathered dust.
Recently, I was scrolling deep through my old private SoundCloud tracks for a nostalgia trip, and I stumbled on it again. Even after all those years, the core idea was still so catchy. I realized the track wasn’t flawed; I just needed to level up before I could finish it.
I dove back in, completely overhauled the sound design and drums, and finally brought it to the quality it deserved. I am so unbelievably proud of how this turned out.
The takeaway? Sometimes an idea is just a seed planted in the wrong season. Leaving it in the dark doesn’t mean it’s dead, it’s just waiting while you do the growing. When the time is right, it’ll be ready. Remember that, Peter. Remember that...”
