For Halloween at @hwdforever and @cinespia , among cinema lovers @gliujr and I slipped into the stillness between Su Li-zhen (Mrs. Chan) and Chow Mo-wan — where love lingers in glances, time slows, and everything unsaid feels eternal.
一生一世，只差一步 (a lifetime apart, just one step away).
We were so moved that many recognized our quiet tribute and shared with us that it was their favorite film.
We tried to emulate the aching spirit of the deleted scenes and unseen short that followed the luminous 4K restoration that was shown in celebration this year.

I genuinely could not believe it at first, but somehow her wines don’t trigger the dreaded Asian glow 😭🍷 and last night was actually my first time ever enjoying sangria because she somehow solved that too.

Today @gliujr and I had the pleasure to meet an inspiring artist who is incredibly lovely inside and out Clara Woods!
She is an artist I had recently discovered through social media and have been admiring since. It was an absolute delight to have an unexpected meet and greet today.
Talking story with her mãe and papà about Clara’s story, their life living in Florence, Italy, our mutual love for Florence and Portugal, their family in O’ahu, @iolanipalacehi Queen Liliʻuokalani, @honolulumuseum@bishopmuseum , art, music and languages. Plus, Gary and my deep aloha for Hawai’i…it felt like we all were painting in real time with our colorful conversation. 🖼️
