The Wolverine Winter Skirmish follows the same Rules of Engagement as The Wolverine 5K Tactical Adventure Race, which is a “Red Dawn” themed event that tests orienteering skills using map & compass, speed & endurance, tactical tasks, and several diverse marksmanship skills over 10 stages. The spirit of this tactical adventure race transcends mere competition; it is a mission to discover the utmost warrior potential in a demanding and dynamic environment. The honor lies not in trophies or accolades, but in the grit and determination exhibited.
The only difference is that the orienteering portion involves finding as many Check Points as possible within an allotted time, rather than navigating a designed patrol route. At the start point, you will receive the entire list of approximately 20-30 grid locations to search for within the time limit. Points will be rewarded for each Check Point found, which is added to the live fire stage totals.
Snow shoes, skies, poles, and gear sleds are authorized equipment.

The Mesatac® Torque Rod Vise Mount Style (SKU 90510 / MSRP $99.95) is a heavy-duty solid steel tool for your AR-15 designed to allow the easy installation and removal of barrels, muzzle devices, gas blocks, as well as handguards from your upper receiver.
The Torque Rod features 5” flat sides designed to be gripped in your bench vise. With the Torque Rod secured, slide your AR-15’s upper receiver over the opposite end of the Torque Rod. The Torque Rod’s eight splines mesh with the locking lugs of your barrel extension in your upper receiver. The torque applied to your barrel nut or muzzle devise is then transferred to the Torque Rod in the vise. Using a Torque Rod instead of a clamshell style vise block will prevent twisting damage to your upper receiver or marring of your receiver’s finish. Torque Rods are an essential tool for billet AR-15 upper receivers that do not fit in clamshell style vise blocks.

Mesa Tactical is attending the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Law Enforcement Operations Conference & Trade Show this week in Kansas City.
Urbino tactical stock for the Beretta 1301 shotgun now supports the Beretta A300 models as well.
A minor modification was made to the pocket sling plate blank, allowing it to fit over the A300 shotgun’s return spring tube.
This change ensures the Urbino stock can be easily installed on both the 1301 and A300 Beretta shotgun platforms.
