Behind the elegance, influence, and success people see today, Morenike Molehin’s journey is a story of resilience, audacity, and impact.
With degrees in Industrial Mathematics and Financial Mathematics, she began her career in the corporate world, including working with ExxonMobil. But deep within her was a passion for creating beautiful spaces and meaningful experiences. What started from decorating her own home eventually became Oak and Teak Interiors.
Building the business was not easy. She faced challenges ranging from funding difficulties and economic instability to operating in a male-dominated industry where she constantly had to prove herself. Yet, instead of giving up, she adapted, stayed consistent, and continued building with excellence.
Today, Oak and Teak has delivered projects across Nigeria and internationally, becoming one of Africa’s respected luxury interior brands. Her excellence has also earned her recognition including Entrepreneur of the Year at the ELOY Awards and being listed among the Top 100 Career Women in Africa.
Beyond business success, Morenike’s impact stands out even more.
Through mentorship platforms, empowerment initiatives, and conferences like Grow With Renny, she has inspired and equipped thousands of women and young entrepreneurs to pursue purpose boldly and lead with confidence.

In many parts of the world, flipping a switch and seeing a room flood with light is an afterthought.
But for Damilola Ogunbiyi, that simple action is the result of a lifelong mission.
One that started with a clear observation.
The energy gap is not just about power. It is about people.
Growing up in Lagos, she saw what happens when systems do not work the way they should. Homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses constantly adjusting just to function.
So she asked a simple question.
Why should this be normal?
That question shaped her path.
She stepped into the energy sector, a space that was slow moving and largely male dominated, and chose to lead without waiting for permission.
At the Rural Electrification Agency, she pushed one idea, the “Golden Thread”. Without energy, nothing truly works. Not education. Not healthcare. Not economic growth.
And she acted on it.
She helped secure a 550 million dollar World Bank supported project to expand solar power to rural communities, bringing electricity to places that had lived without it for generations.
But her impact did not stop there.
She created opportunities for others through the Female STEM Student Internship Programme, opening doors for young women in Nigeria.
Today, as CEO and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), she is taking that same mission global.
Because for her, a green future only matters if it includes the over 700 million people still living without electricity.
Under her leadership, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) has partnered with over 200 organisations and supported more than 100 countries in expanding energy access.
From Lagos to global leadership, her focus has stayed the same.
Turning access into opportunity. Turning systems into solutions.
Recently, she became the first Nigerian to receive the TIME Earth Awards.
Not as a turning point.
But as proof of what consistent impact looks like.

What happens by default often shapes outcomes more than intentions.
Inclusion is not driven by statements or commitments alone. It is built into the everyday processes people interact with.

These small, repeated systems define who is heard, who is seen, and who progresses.
