Welcome! My name is Meredith Edwards, and I’m a licensed psychotherapist in California specializing in complex trauma. I support clients navigating the often-invisible layers of pain, protection, and patterning that keep them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disappointed, in themselves, in their relationships, and in the world.
Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, shame, emotional turbulence, or a persistent sense of experiencing too much and not enough. Relationships often feel painful or hard to trust, marked by longing, fear, and loneliness. These patterns are often informed by early relational wounds: experiences of emotional neglect, misattunement, or abuse from those who were supposed to offer safety and love. These early ruptures impact how we see ourselves and others, and how safe it feels to love, need, or be seen. Grief is often quietly present: grief for what was lost, what was never given, or what still feels just out of reach.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, weaving together somatic practices, psychodynamic depth work, attachment theory, mindfulness, and humanistic care. Together, we slow down, listen to what your body holds, and create space for healing that’s safe, steady, and shaped by your readiness and rhythm.
Through this process, my clients begin to feel safer in their bodies and more connected to their emotions, rather than overwhelmed or shut down by them. They learn to notice their patterns with curiosity rather than shame, and to relate to themselves with more compassion, clarity, and care. Relationships become less chaotic and more nourishing as they build boundaries, trust, and the capacity for deeper intimacy. Over time, they feel more rooted in their worth, more at home in their nervous system, and more free to live in alignment with who they truly are, not just who they had to be to survive.
It’s a privilege to do this work. I hold it with deep reverence, respect, and humility. If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect.
