Last week, I went down to Culver City for a special look at The Mandalorian and Grogu. I got to explore the sets, look at props, meet the cutest droids (BB-8 is still my fave), and watch the first 18 mins of the movie. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in convincing the droids to leave the west side.

Three months after her husband died, my Grammy, Margaret Pettit, reunited with my Papa in heaven. Even though I flew out there this weekend, the funeral was postponed due to the snow.
It’s been hard for me to put into words what it’s meant losing someone like her. My middle name is named after her, and she’s left behind quite a legacy. Although her memory faded each time I saw her the last few years due to dementia, she never forgot me (even when I saw her for the last time in December). She always told me how much she loved me and how proud she was of me. I can hear her voice in my head, see her smile, taste her signature beans, rice, and corn. I remember her lifelong crush on Elvis Presley and her devotion to God, her husband, + her family. I know she lived a long life and she’s in heaven with her Savior, but what I wouldn’t give for one more moment with her. A recipe, a piece of advice, a hug.
Grammy, I love you, and I hope I continue to make you proud. I miss you 💛

2025 was the year of ch-ch-CHANGES
I’ve been trying to reflect and take in the sheer volume of change I’ve experienced this year. From a distance, I know I should be proud of myself for my accomplishments, resilience, and courage. But if you know me, I’m the last person to give myself any kind of credit (working on it!). Still, it’s been a lot and here I stand on the other side.
Thank you to my friends & family who have supported me through it all. Thank you God for being my rock and my firm foundation. 2025, you were a necessary shift that needed to happen. I know I will look back at this year as the turning point.
