Let’s get uncomfortable and talk about MONEY 💸 WHY DO ADOPTION FEES EXIST?? ⬇️ One of the biggest misconceptions in rescue is that our adoption fees are essentially us “making money off animals.” ❌ We promise you… we are not. ❌ Mercy Full Project is a small foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue. We are NOT government funded. We are able to save more animals because of adoption fees, donations, sponsors, fosters, volunteers, and community support. 🤝 💲 Before any pet is adopted from Mercy Full Project, we invest heavily into their care. 90% of our intakes are stray animals and owner surrenders with no vetting. Many of our rescues come to us sick, injured, underweight, neglected, pregnant, heartworm +, or needing emergency medical treatment. 💲 And to be 100% transparent, adoption fees rarely even cover the full cost of what we spend on each animal individually. 💲Adoption fees also help ensure adopters are financially prepared for the lifelong commitment of owning a pet. Because while love matters most, pets still require ⭐️routine vetting, ⭐️grooming, ⭐️food, ⭐️training, and ⭐️emergency care throughout their lives. 💲Every adoption fee helps save another life. Simply put, adoption fees are just DONATIONS funneled right back into the rescue so we can continue helping more animals in need. 🚨 URGENT: EMERGENCY DONATIONS NEEDED FOR MAMA & 5 PUPPIES 🚨 For the first 9 weeks of their lives… these puppies lived in darkness. No sunlight. No grass. No fresh air. No electricity. No air conditioning in the scorching Florida heat. Their 8-year-old mama has now had her SECOND litter while surviving in heartbreaking conditions after their owners were facing eviction. 💔 Two incredible women drove THREE HOURS to rescue them and bring them to Mercy Full Project. They also rescued the puppies’ dad— and thankfully, he has already found a safe, loving forever home with the women who saved him. 🖤 Today was the first time these puppies ever stepped outside. The first time they felt grass beneath their paws. The first time they saw the sun. But now comes the terrifying reality: We are drowning financially. The second animals come through our doors, the medical bills begin immediately— and this family needs A LOT of help. One of the puppies already pooped out a piece of couch fluff, showing just how neglected and desperate their living conditions truly were. Meet our newest intakes: Raven, Ada, & Grim 🐾 Raven is a gorgeous black kitty who is SO unbelievably friendly that it’s safe to assume she was abandoned at some point. She immediately seeks out affection, attention, and love from anyone around her. 💔 Ada & Grim are two incredibly sweet pit bulls who recently lost their home after their landlord no longer allowed dogs on the property. ADOPT LOLI: Loli has been training with us alongside her foster @raqcis01 Loli arrived at @mercyfullproject with all her puppies and her baby daddy. Initially, she was quite defensive around her puppies, but gradually, she became more trusting of many people. Loli is learning to get along with other dogs. She can coexist peacefully, but she struggles with playing with them for now. We are hopeful that she will overcome this challenge over time. However, for now, Loli might be best suited as a single dog. Loli will continue her training with me even after she is adopted. So, whoever adopts Miss Loli can rest assured that they will understand how to communicate and control her. She is a sweet girl who is seeking a second chance in life. I’m the perfect mix of active and chill—I enjoy getting out and about, but I’m just as happy staying in and spending quiet time with you. I’m potty trained, leash trained, and very well-behaved in the home with no destructive habits. I already know some commands like sit, down, and stay, and I’m continuing to learn more every day. I’m currently working on crate training and just need a little patience and consistency to get there. I get along great with dogs of all sizes and kids, making me a wonderful fit for many families. No exceptions. No matter how big or small the deal. This is my first one. It won’t be my last. Real estate isn’t just about transactions for me.
