Mental Overdrive is the name I’ve been releasing my music under for more than three decades now. I’ve always been restless to explore sound, systems and ideas, and ever since my industrial rave tunes on R&S Records in the early nineties I’ve aimed to move freely between club music, experimentation, film work, storytelling, conceptual projects and collaborations. Music and art is a practice - not a product, and I will always aim to question how technology, creativity and culture intersect, and move forward with any new possibilities drifting my way.
MENTAL OVERDRIVE - THE VAULTS EP - 16/1-26. Unreleased material from the archives, recovered from DAT’s and early digital sessions. Recorded through the decades and left untouched. Link in bio.

Alright, just a polite heads-up:
The anniversary vinyl edition of Kathy’s Song XXV is running low on Emmobiz.
This isn’t one of those “oh it’ll be around forever” releases.
You already know how APOP stuff disappears once people wake up. And they are already having their second coffee.
So yeah… run, don’t walk — there won't be Kleenex waiting at the checkout 🙃

“Kathy’s Song (Come Lie Next To Me)” is one of Apoptygma Berzerk’s signature tracks — originally tied to the Welcome to Earth era, with the single released on December 11, 2000.
The track also became one of the band’s biggest songs, with notable remixes by VNV Nation and Ferry Corsten.
More recently, the song got a proper 25th anniversary push. Pitch Black Drive released the original 6-track maxi digitally on June 12, 2025, and later followed with Kathy’s Song XXV in December 2025. According to Apoptygma’s official site, that anniversary edition included remixes by Zone Tripper and Mental Overdrive, plus a 2025 remake by Ferry Corsten.
As part of the anniversary run, Apoptygma Berzerk keep things moving with the 'Kathy's Song XXV' EP, out July 10, 2026 - this time landing on vinyl for those who still like their music with a bit of weight to it.

Straight back to where it belongs: onto your vinyl shelves!
The 25th anniversary vinyl edition of Apoptygma Berzerk’s "Kathy’s Song (Come Lie Next To Me)" is coming on July 10, 2026.
Strictly limited, dressed up with a few new twists and just enough temptation to make you go “well… yeah, obviously I need this.”
Not just for DJs or nostalgic moments — this one’s dangerously close to ending up in your collection and on your record player.
