Finished Green Knight/Sir Gawain illustration. He's depicted with blond hair in some historical imagery. Some think he is the Welsh counterpart to the Celtic Cú Chulainn so I thought to push the boundary of him being kind of being strawberry blond. He has a green sash around his waist which is a reminder of this story, a token of the failure to keep his promise and a reminder to do better.
I'll probably use prints of this to help raise funds for the space to be dedicated to historical arts and martial practices tied to @viragoalley The space is in really bad shape, but has potential. We hope to open it up somehow to local HEMA groups/artists. The logistics of that are still being figured out. It’ll be a ways as it needs a bit of work. Link to donate/info in bio.

This immersive event spotlights legendary historic figures through a mix of performances, storytelling, crafting activities, and an open-air artisan market. Enjoy local vendors, historically inspired fare, and a variety of family-friendly activities in a setting that perfectly blends past and present." @viragoalley@agecrofthallgardens
I was awarded sports club coach of the year for helping coach @vcu_hema The students have really made an effort to make me feel appreciated. I’ve said it before but they never cease to amaze me with how good a job they do running the club and events.

Cover and back cover illustration for "Mousie...What in the School House?" Some of my favorites out of 10 interior drawings too. By Dr Harold "Bud" Cothern It's currently available on Amazon.
I think the Richmond Ren Faire won him over. He’s stood beside me for 20 years, helping me build and realize so many creative initiatives, even when those projects pulled time and energy away from us. More times than I can count, he’s stepped in to support projects he never signed up for, offering his time and talents just to keep me going. He’s seen the long nights, the sacrifices, everything it’s taken.
And yet, this one feels different. I think Bizhan might finally be all in.
