A couple weeks ago I was invited to shoot for Urban Gallery artist showcase, “The Fight F(or) Equality.”
Urban Gallery was created as a space for artists to express themselves through their own form of art. Every piece carried a different perspective on what “The Fight F(or) Equality” means to them — from injustice and mental health to gun laws, inequality, identity, and even personal style.
I wanna give a big shout out to all the beautiful people who were apart of this ⋆‧°𓏲ּ𝄢 & especially to Ari
@templebodyy for having me, te lo agradezco ⋆‧°𓏲ּ𝄢
Being surrounded by so many talented people and their beautiful art was truly inspiring. It reminded me that art exists in everything we are and everything we do.
Our fight for equality has always existed in the way we live, create, work, speak, love, survive, and simply exist. Even the things we sometimes take for granted — like being able to read, eat freely, express ourselves, and take up space are all things generations before us fought for.
As i’m inspired this is a friendly reminder that we all matter, and every single person has a purpose here. Nothing starts perfect, but once you begin, you’ll slowly create something that feels true to you.
Keep existing, inspiring, creating, fighting, protesting, voting, supporting, encouraging and showing up for your community, your people and change. Doing nothing changes nothing, but doing something, no matter how small, creates movement.
And if nobody around you is encouraging you to keep chasing your dreams or fighting for what you believe in, I will. Keep going. Your people and your community will find you, stand beside you, and remind you why you started.
If you made it this far…
