Memoryloop, a dreamy shoegaze and ethereal post-rock band from Southern California. What sets this group apart is their attention to balance, the juxtaposition of beautiful passages into crescendos of heaviness, the delicate ambiance and the crushing moments all complement each other really well. Luke Feilberg, the mastermind behind this project, his riffs have had me in a chokehold for well over a decade now, some could say unassuming in stature and presence, but don’t let that fool you because their riff bank is mighty/deep and packs an epic punch. One moment you are in a hypnotizing spell and the next moment you are swallowed by soul crushing waves of sound. Memoryloop rules! I’ve got about 25-30 copies of their latest album available on vinyl, I highly recommend it to anyone that is into experimental heaviness. They just dropped a brand new single and are currently working on their new album which I’m very much looking forward to. Expect to hear a lot more from them in the future!
