March & April. The return of Spring and another year on this earth alhamdulilah 🌱
Experimented with my clay from Somalia (more on this soon), saw Elmiene with my brother, randomly got a free pizza on my birthday stroll through Hampstead Heath, watched the Speed Project documentary with ASRA and other moments of connection 💛
Ended the year celebrating love in Gambia with the best company 💛 Forever grateful for the ways Allah channels His mercy in the softness and care I experience from those I love.
‘Black in the Game’ exhibition at the @nationalfootballmuseum 💚
Incredibly proud to have been a part of the co-curation group for this exhibition, which launched this month #blackhistorymonth
Alongside other amazing individuals including former and current players, community leaders and experts across football, we developed the first of its kind exhibition celebrating the African and Afro-Caribbean pioneers of the game! So proud that @barakah_ldn also featured in the grassroots section!
Big thank you to @curator_marek and the museum team who worked hard to bring our ideas to life, and to @tyabiodun for designing the space so beautifully! 👏🏽
It’s open until March 2026!
It’s been a week since I submitted my dissertation and completed my Masters alhamdulilah 🌱
Grateful for the opportunity to research a topic that is close to my heart, and for all the blessings that have come with this year in general 💛
The small moments.
Jan to July 2025 🌼
“bike-strung boy
sun-licked spark of rubber and steel
you soar
down the driveway
arms spread like wings
it is a wonderful thing to fly
and there is no greater occasion
than being alive”

🛝 Who gets to play in the city?
As gentrification and privatisation reshape our city, communities are losing vital spaces for play, care and connection. Estate sports cages and play areas, essential for working class communities’ access to play, are often neglected and run-down.
Join us this Saturday at 5PM for a free co-design workshop where we’ll reimagine what inclusive, community-led play spaces could look like 🌱 Expect inspiring discussion, playful making, and radical ideas about joy, care, and access to play in the city!
