Melvin Dawson is a preacher, singer, actor, educator, mentor, brother, and friend.
2. What are you currently working on??
I am currently working on building ministry and building my artistic brand.
3. What does the term āBuild A Brotherā say/mean to you??
Build A Brother to me means just what it saysā¦itās a chance or opportunity to make sure your brother is taken care of, loved, and knows that he is not alone on this walk but he has someone concerned about his wellbeing.
2026 is off to an amazing start! God has opened doors early. I get share in music and in the word with some of Godās bestā¦starting with singing bgvs for my Uncle, Bishop AJ Wrightās live recordingā¦then, my dad, Bishop Melvin Dawson, Jr. and GFD as we are the guest artist for MLK weekend in DeLandā¦and then with my Uncle, Bishop Marc Cooper, preaching during Surge Tuesdays. Pray and pray hard as I continue to do what God has graced me to do!
The Lord has blessed me to sing background for a lot of artist and I have enjoyed my career but there are times when the artist you work with is as genuine as you thought they were prior to working with themā¦every time I get the chance to sing with @vashawnmitchell , that is the case!
