I’ve seen people drown themselves in this mentality and I hate it for my brothers n sisters because they’ll turn the world on themselves before they have a real chance to step out. Now you’ve got a cold shoulder towards the people who are tryna give you a warm welcome. And how many avenues has that closed off? Stop confusing independence with isolation.
And I’m not blind to the idea that there’s people who we rely on to reach the next step that can be flaky sometimes. I totally understand. But don’t let them stop your motion, cuz. Especially if you working with something you believe in.

Def got my criticisms of the CATO Institute and studies like these but research like this highlights that immigrants haven’t had the adverse effect on our country that many people claim it has.
Much of that relief in the deficit comes from not paying undocumented workers their worth which can’t be highlighted enough.
To still be written off as anything other than a vital piece of this nation’s infrastructure is insane.
