On s’enjaille 😤🤞🏾💪🏾⚔️ 😂 what’s your fave slide?? Pour comprendre le Logobi, il faut revenir aux années 70, une période où la Côte d’Ivoire connait un grand boom économique grâce au café et au cacao. Abidjan grandit rapidement et devient une ville qui attire des gens venus de partout au pays et même des pays voisins. Ce mélange là donne naissance à une jeunesse qui cherche sa propre identité et sa propre manière de s’exprimer. Dans les quartiers populaires comme “Yop city” et autour des cinémas, les jeunes regardent des films d’action, de karaté, des westerns, et commencent à imiter les gestes (guin guin guin) ..les attitudes et l’énergie de figures comme Bruce Lee ou d’autres héros de cinéma.. et Boom, la rue devient leur terrain d’expression. C’est aussi à cette époque où le nouchi prend place (mélangeant plusieurs langues locales et français) permet aux jeunes de se comprendre entre eux et de créer une culture qui leur appartient vraiment. En parallèle apparaissent les Ziguehis des groupes de jeunes athlétiques à mort, influencés par les arts martiaux, la danse et la culture de rue… tu mets gbo, ye mets gbo…Entre démonstrations de force, style, attitude et affrontements, ils imposent leur présence dans les quartiers, c’est pour ça qu’il faut GBACHI . Dans la rue, le respect se gagne par le charisme, l’énergie, le style et la capacité à s’imposer face aux autres. Dance for Congo — A Movement Begins It’s been a week and I’m still vibrating high. Our first Dance for Congo event for Nseya Humanitarian Foundation was more than a success—it was a powerful reminder of what happens when community, culture, and purpose come together. With open hearts and intentional energy, we gathered to move, to release, and to reconnect—not only with ourselves, but with the roots that ground us. Through dance, rhythm, and shared presence, we created a space of healing, joy, and awareness for a cause that impacts us all. From the synergy in the room, to the live drums that completed the circle, to every single person who showed up and gave their energy—this was collective magic. Dance for Congo is not just an event. It’s a movement. The energy could not have been without collaboration @meloomat from @uplift514 a phenomenal dance instructor. He can get us out of discomfort and into the vibe!!! A nod to 2xJuno nominated artist @kizabalk who played drums. Catch him at Nuit d’Afrique July 15th!!! He’s incredible. It was spectacular!! Dancing is liberation. Music is a religion and we are the antenna. We are feeding 2 birds with 1 hand. Our mission is to give back to the source while healing ourselves along the way. This is just the beginning.
