I’ll Belong To You is one of our “doo-wop” numbers that finishes side A of the melodrones record. It uses chords I learnt from playing along to songs like “you really got a hold on me” by Smokey Robinson. One line of the lyrics was knicked off John Cooper Clarke and if you can guess which I’ll buy you a pony. After taking his job at MBC a bit over 8 years ago, I thought the least I could do was sit down with none other then reckless Rik Saunders of @melodrones ahead of their big show this Friday.
