🇰🇪 Every year we travel to Kenya, we make sure to visit Nyeri's Kiama Farmers Cooperative Society. Founded in 2005, the co-op owns four washing stations (or factories, as they are called in Kenya) that process coffee from some 3,000 members — and counting! The cooperative continues to experience growth, even on lower-yielding years, as the strong agricultural support and reliable price premiums they provide farmers make them one of Nyeri's most attractive co-ops to sell cherry to.
We currently have two of their lots on the way: KIANGUNDO AB and KIAMAINA AB. Both coffees are bright and lively, bursting with stone fruit sweetness and the kind of vibrant acidity the best Nyeri offerings are known for. While we've run out of pre-shipment sample of these, they'll be here next month — let us know if you'd like to reserve some to be confirmed once you cup them in June!

🇨🇴 Grown and processed in Colombia’s state of Cauca, SAN ANTONIO DECAF has quickly become one of our favourite offerings at the office. It’s packed with heaps of flavour, and because it contains virtually no caffeine, it’s the kind of coffee that can be enjoyed any time of the day. Its rich and creamy mouthfeel is perfectly complemented by dulce de leche sweetness and notes of stewed apple, toasted almond and cacao nibs, making it ideal for both espresso and filter brewing.

🇧🇷 Over the past decade, the visionary @fabianoborre has gone to great lengths to elevate the name of his home state of Bahia and the Chapada Diamantina region where his family's Fazenda Progresso operates.
On our most recent trip to Brazil, we learned Fabiano had just received the ‘Citizen of Bahia’ award for his outstanding contributions to agriculture, community, culture, tourism, and economy Chapada Diamantina. When presenting the award, Ivan Bastos, the president of the Legislative Assembly of Bahia, emphasised the significance of this award, stating that, “It is in recognition for someone who arrived, planted, innovated, and made Bahia flourish with work, vision, and affection.” Having seen this in action, we couldn't agree with Ivan's words more!
We're always thrilled to have Fabiano's coffees on our line up, and can't wait to start dispatching their freshly landed AIRUMÁ later this week. With orange acidity and notes of cocoa and roasted hazelnut that are complemented by brown sugar sweetness, this is an offering that shines across all brewing applications. 🇪🇹 Included in our fresh crop Ethiopian line up, ADORSI WASHED presents that classic Yirgacheffe profile most of us swoon over, as its notes of orange, nectarine and passionfruit are balanced by sugarcane sweetness and black tea on the finish. This bright and juicy lot was processed by @testispecialtycoffee using cherry from 800 independent farmers from the kebele of Aricha who grow coffee at up to 2,000 metres above sea level.
We felt so lucky to visit the site in the middle of the harvest and cannot wait to share this lot with you once it lands next month. 💚 With so many fresh crop coffees now on the way to Australia, we’ve had a busy few weeks on the sample roaster, making sure all QC and sales requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Our coffees from Piatã and Colombia will be landing over the next few weeks, followed by our Ethiopian line up in June. In July, we’re expecting our Kenyan offerings to arrive, with our first containers out of Guatemala not lagging far behind. It’s safe to say, @toshiishiwata will be keeping pretty busy this winter!

🇰🇪 Since 2017, site manager Purity Wanjiku Muriuki has overseen the collection and processing of coffee cherries delivered to Kiamaina Factory. While our most recent visit was at the tail end of the harvest, we still managed to see Purity and her team in action, taking great care to finish the season on a high.
We can’t wait for KIAMAINA AB to land in early July! The lot’s notes of fresh strawberry and mandarin are perfectly balanced by a syrupy mouthfeel and cacao nibs on the finish — making it a delicious filter offering, or an elegant and vibrant single espresso.
