after getting rear ended on the freeway at the end of 2023, i spent most of 2024 in physical therapy. i could barely lift one pound weights, which felt demoralizing. in 2025, i locked in and got to work with heavier weights. it’s been a series of stops and starts, but it’s a miracle i can move like this again and i’m so grateful 🥰 my weekly training now consists of stretching, yoga, strength training, hiking, and physical therapy. the goal for 2026 is to build up to wire work, fight choreo, kali, and basketball ⚔️🏀

Have you ever gone to a new place and immediately felt drawn to something - almost as if you’d been there before in a past life?
That’s how I felt about this place.
When I visit new countries, I can sometimes energetically feel the history when I step onto the land. For me, there’s a powerful lightness in Delphi and a serene heaviness in Bataan.
This one was different though. I woke up one morning in Lisbon with this playful energy guiding me towards I don’t know what. It was so mesmerizing that every breath I took, I just knew something amazing was about to happen.
On the bus, I noticed this huge off-white monument near the Tagus and I had to get closer. Thankfully, the bus was going in the same direction. After visiting different historical sites, I respectfully ditch my tour group and started walking towards this huge monument. Basking in the heat and my own sweat, I couldn’t help but smile as the playful energy grew stronger with each step. When I finally got to see it up close, I felt an overwhelming sense of awe, magnificence, and mission. It felt like home.
Exploration has always been my north star, and I’ve always had a deep sense of calm near large bodies of water, mountains, and melting pots. This experience was magical, and it confirmed how resolute my soul feels no matter the timeline.

This year, it was just a little sweeter. It was our first time back since the pandemic. It felt like a family reunion, a homecoming of sorts. Catching up, exchanging stories, and most importantly, having fun 👻
I’m really grateful for the community of funny friends I’ve made at UCB. I’m especially grateful for those of you who encouraged me to keep going even when I wanted to quit improv. Over time, I just started letting go of having to get things right and realized IT’S ALL MADE UP and SILLY and FUN lol Yes, there’s still a pang of fear whenever I step on stage, but it quickly turns into giddy excitement because getting to perform with ya’ll brings me so much joy 🥰
