Yo I’m in my 20s
So grateful for everyone I am lucky to bring with me into adulthood. You mean more than words can say. There was a point when I didn’t think I’d make it past 16 and here I am 4 years later still standing ..and thriving! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes; you really made these small 24 hours a great 24 hours🫶🏾

Bout time I finally posted about this internship (had to wait until things released anyway). At the beginning of my internship at Tyler Perry Studios, I had the privilege to be on set for 2 of their sitcoms. Thanks to the open arms of everyone there I got to learn so much from very impressive people. It’s actually shocking how much I was able to learn in one day let alone 2 weeks. It was so amazing getting to witness the community, efficiency, and professionalism that production had to offer and it definitely affirmed that on set is where I’m meant to be. Special thanks to Neta, George, Kristian, German, Justin, Chad, Marc, Jaylen, Drew, Warren, Chris, Tez, Oren, and Anthony for truly taking me in and pouring your knowledge into “the new generation”. I appreciate you all so greatly and your guidance and kindness mean(t) so much to me.

9.20.25 - “Piece of Skit”
My first set as a dolly grip and I gotta tell you it felt good. Getting to work on a comedy is a rare thing in film school so I’m so happy Hunter reached out to ask me on the project. I had a great time working with some of my favorite people Jake and RC and I’m so excited to see the final product!

5.5-9.25 - “Lodged Ep. 2: Sqiimo”
Now that we’re about to shoot episode 3 this Friday, I’m finally getting around to posting episode 2. This episode I got bumped up from camera wrangler to camera operator. It was so much fun to be a part of this show again and getting to take on the challenge of filming a remote control robot that died very quickly. I miss this cast so much as they’re off doing bigger and better things but we have a good show cooking up right now that I’m just as proud of. See you in about 9 months when I get around to posting episode 3 I guess?

I still think about you everyday. There’s so many things I want to update you on. I made more films that I want to show you. And I could definitely use your silliness to make me not stop laughing.
I’ve been watching this video (or listening to the song) almost everyday since your ceremony because after all the masking and pretending I have to do to keep moving forward everyday, this song is the one thing that helps me slow down and feel. Aniya you did a great job with this song (I prefer your version, so sorry Jamie Grace I love you) I’m so glad you chose to sing it.

My family and I went to Kauai over winter break. Made a little video essay for Environmental Filmmaking with some of the footage I shot. This trip was so amazing and very healing. I want to go back. Photos to come.

The loss of a sister is a pain I never thought I’d have to feel so soon.
Renee you were truly the brightest light in this world. You’ve been there since I first started having memories (literally I was 2). I could always count on you for a laugh and you always made the good times better. We got especially close in 2020 and you helped me, someone who deeply depends on being around people to fill their cup, feel like quarantine was easy to get through.
I loved when we’d get iHop for breakfast. I loved when we’d binge watch tv together. I loved when we’d play the switch and yearn over wanting to play the Michael Jackson Experience on the Wii again (I will track down that family member that took it from you). I loved listening to your tea spills. I loved that you would cook exactly what I liked. I loved the occasional FaceTimes that came after quarantine. I loved that you’d always give me a new acne product even though I never finished the last one. I loved that you showed up to my soccer games and theater performances. But most of all I loved that you were the first family member I came out to (even though you had to pry it out and everyone probably already knew), accepted me in the most humorous I don’t care live your life way, and showed me that it was possible for people who’ve known you your whole life to love you for exactly who you are.
I could go down a list of things I wish I could talk to you about, show you, and experience with you but today and everyday I choose to remember the 18 years we did have and the immense joy you brought everyone despite personal battles of your own.
Christmas Eve took one of the greatest humans ever away but the sun shines brighter with you finally at peace. I love you forever and will miss you at our family gatherings and FaceTimes and every time I hear one of our songs. Rest well❤️
5.3-4.25 - “Echoes Through Ashes”
Had a great time as the DP on this Directing the Narrative project written by my friend Breanna Greer-Guillaume and directed by my friend Rileigh Gossett. I loved the story and was so excited to be trusted to help bring it to life. This is definitely one of my proudest projects I’ve shot so far and am looking forward to sharing some stills from it soon!

4.13.25 - “The Show Must Go On”
I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot a pro-shot of a stage musical back in the spring and let me tell you I was so ecstatic! The wonderful Riss Smith wrote an amazing murder mystery musical within a musical and it was such a blast. Filming pro-shots are on my list of things I want to do professionally so it was nice to get my first crack at it being a one man team. Stills are soon to come!
