Hi! I’m LiMei (LeeMay) and I’ve finally decided to properly introduce myself online, only took me 9 years.
I started with makeup first, then took on hairstyling during COVID. Took me awhile to find my Signature Soft Glam look that tailors to your features, and definitely took me a lot longer to figure out how to properly handle different hair types, but here we are!
Besides being a teacher during the week, I’m a mum to my beautiful little girl. Weekends are spent with you and your bridal party while my husband entertains O! I am so grateful to have incredible support around me.
It has taken me awhile to show my face properly online because my kids (students) used to search my full name online, found my LinkedIn and I will randomly see comments from them on my posts. I was unsure of how I would separate two professional identities online and in person.
But I have found the perfect balance now, so you will see more of me! Thanks to my dear friend and incredible story telling photographer @jingwsong who brought my brand shoot vision to life! I started doing makeup from home, so decided doing the shoot in my home studio is the best way to show case Meikup.
Thanks for reading my long bio, see you around!
Couldn’t pick one, so here’s three of Miss Jessica in @dreamebridal_ 😍
Collaborations fuel my creativity. There’s no line as to what I can’t do as long as I balance my vision with the brand and model I’m working with.
2026 has started out so busy, the roll over from 2025 is crazy. I cannot wait for the year of the Wooden Horse, a year of moving forward towards balance.
Also, please check your emails (esp spam!!) as I have scheduled and replied to everyone overnight ✨ Thank you for your continuous support, I appreciate you 🫶🏼
Playing around with @meiikup 💓 outside of @musomethod
Photography, hair & soft glam all by the amazing Li Mei in Perth, Australia. Thank you for having me, it’s the first time where the make up actually suits me!
Thank me later!
I always get horror stories of “chopped lashes” or “it’s just now curling my lashes!!”. Definitely check the pad, and invest in a good curler!
My fav is @chanel.beauty and @shuuemura , they lift and fit Asian lashes like a dream 🤌🏼
When was the last time you checked and changed your lash pad? No shaming here, just educating and sharing the love ❤️
A good lash day is just !!!!

“Mash potatoes and chips… same same, right?” Is what I say to my clients who says “my wedding is still an event, just a longer day”
Yes… BUT-
✨ Your wedding makeup will be curated by me for you from the moment you fill out my booking form, sit on my makeup chair and leave your wedding reception
✨ I have to make sure your veil/accessories will stay in your hair through wind and lots of movements during your location shoot
✨ Your wedding morning schedule is pre drafted before my arrival on your big day to ensure you and your bridal party are clear on who is getting their hair/makeup done first
Event makeup is usually one and done… I can gauge and gather all the information I need to get you ready for your 4 hours event on the same day.
Are you a future bride looking for a hair and makeup artist?? I would love to know your thoughts in the comments!

If sophistication and elegance is a person ✨
Such an honour doing Jelly’s makeup for an event she’s been anticipating for!! How gorgeous does the emerald green compliment her hair and skin tone?!
Hair and makeup by me 💕

“Won’t it make me look cakey” Not if you know exactly where to apply your translucent or compact powder.
TRANSLUCENT powder blurs fine lines and pores, refines your makeup and sets everything in place.
COMPACT powder adds coverage, easy to use on the go and provides a smooth finished.
Both can be used on all skin types. My favourite way to use translucent powder is dipping it into the container with a puff, tap excess in my palm then apply under my eyes, sides of nose, forehead and chin, where I usually see shine ✨

So worth it ✨
It’s definitely not easy working two part time jobs + being a mum. Thankful for my husband who steps in whenever and clients who adores my passion🥹 Your reaction at the end reminds me of why I do what I do!! Oh I definitely have days where I break down and self loathe- “why do I do this to myself” but then I get back up and say “it’s luteal season, I’m g” 😂😂😂
Nothing is impossible so long as you put your mind to it and be extra organised. Take this as your sign to do what you have always wanted to do… don’t forget to wear sunscreen and get a new tube of mascara, it’s time 💅
