Three days in Hocking Hills with these nuts, my skeptical father checks out The Paul A Johnson Pencil Sharpener Museum, some of the 4000+ pencil sharpeners, lake hang, best niece and nephew, nature being scenic, the “girls”, Mom gives Dad his birthday badge, Tina cracks us all up with the best cat card. Quote of the weekend (inspired by @fellemania QOTD): “Now that’s one thing that really pisses me off.”
I love my nephew a whole lot (my brother is ok too even if he argues with me about the number of concerts I have seen). Village Vanguard, the three dudes, Wonder Wheel, brave, Dinosaur Jr, books and Jack are both magic, is it a flowering bush or is it a person dressed as a flowering bush?

Perfect day. Meeting Life’s new author and now my friend Charlie, flowers exhibit at Saatchi Gallery, authors, 150-year celebration at the mothership Liberty, Invader in SoHo, life-enhancing chicken at Noble Rot with the exquisite company of Pippa and Rebecca.
London is my best place.
Royal lady, Sultana scone from Gail’s, cool old buildings, mudlarking on the Thames, found medieval pottery shards (!!!!), nice roses at St Paul’s.
How I’m trying to stay calm: collaging, reading, resting. (Not shown: small cat with spring fever who makes all of these things either easier or exponentially more difficult.)
