Now that the dust has settled over our second southside flea ~~ we wanted to say a massive thank you to all the lovely sellers, buyers and helping hands at the Marlborough that made our December flea happen!!
We still can’t believe that what started as a chat in the sauna in early October has already turned into a queue wrapping round the block.
Polly & I decided to start the flea market after missing our weekends in london spent flea-ing ~ we missed riffling, digging deep and finding pieces that we loved for a very very good price! We dream in flea markets 👀🪩💃🏻✨✨
Clothes and all things bric a brac aside, we missed the social element of the flea! Running into pals ~ be it bright eyed and bushy tailed or deathly hungover with tales to tell. A Sunday finding that piece you’d been trawling Vinted for plusss craic with ye mates is a good end to one week and a rejuvenating start to the next!! The southside flea has got you 🧘♀️🫂🤝💆🏻♀️

Untold Lives will explore all things homelessness & addiction in Glasgow AND the amazing people & projects fighting the good fight in a city facing the highest number of drug deaths across Europe. Listen in to my podcast where I’ll be speaking with my wonderful colleagues from a Glasgow homeless charity about their own stories of life in addiction and why recovery has brought them to do the very important work they do today.
In this first episode I’m speaking with Kevin … he’s a colleague, a friend, a poet & a bloody inspiration!! Listen in as he tells me his tales from over 30 years of life in addiction and how for him now - work is his redemption.
This episode was recorded amidst the backdrop of a very pivotal time in Kevin’s life - as he fights to keep his job in the charity sector. After years of working across Glasgow’s charities, Disclosure Scotland reversed their decision on his previous convictions and are reviewing his right to work with vulnerable adults. Despite this, Kevin has received overwhelming support across the sector, and this episode highlights the value of his lived experience in his ability to understand, relate & connect to our members.
