This is my mom, Julie. Yesterday she died of cancer. For the last 28 years, she's been the coolest person in my life. And the thing about being cool, is that being cool never dies. You couldn't fit her in a box and there's not a thing she couldn't do. What saddens me the most is not getting to find out what else she is capable of. I lost the person I felt closest to. I miss putting our hands together and them being identical. As her cancer started to worsen, even our hairstyles started to match hahaha.
I miss you, mama. Thank you for my life, as I get to see you in it everyday. I am my mother's son and I will continue to be no matter what.
